Monde Village Wells Project

The Aquascape Foundation, in conjunction with International Needs, is working to provide a borehole water well system in the Monde village located in Buikwe, Uganda. The borehole, which is able to provide up to 400 liters of water per hour,  will provide clean drinking water to 600 residents, whose current source of water is unsanitary and shared with animals. Children and adults must walk 4-6 km to access the water. Since the area is unprotected, children are at risk of danger, including the potential for abduction, rape, and murder. Water-borne diseases from the unsanitary water source create ongoing medical issues for people in the Monde village.
